Finance Analyst
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates effectively as a team player, adapting to project needs and providing support across various areas as required.
- Builds strong relationships with the project teams, demonstrating a willingness to learn about projects and construction.
- Facilitates project setup by creating and configuring new projects in the financial system, coordinating with preconstruction and project managers for budgets, and managing bonding requirements.
- Manages change orders, ensuring timely documentation, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements and contractual terms.
- Supports client billing process, including preparation, review, submission, and tracking to ensure timely payments.
- Manages the commitment process, including creating and tracking commitments, ensuring proper documentation, and verifying compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
- Oversees intercompany project billing for equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation and timely invoicing.
- Understands the purchasing workflow, ensuring internal controls are maintained for the proper acquisition and payment of goods and services.
- Reviews costs and cost adjustments to ensure accuracy, alignment with company standards, and adherence to accounting rules.
- Collaborates with project teams to identify and resolve budget-related issues, ensuring proper cost recognition and alignment with project goals.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer to update processes and improve efficiency.
Job Qualifications
- 0–2 years of financial or data analysis experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and other advanced Excel functions preferred.
- Strong communication (both oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a passion for continuous improvement.
